26/11/2013 Battle of the sexesJust last weekend, my kids showed me again that God created man and woman a little differently. And this divergence is evidently clearer as my kids grew up. My girl Hannah is 8 yrs old and my son Elliot is 6 yrs old. We were coming back from a mall when my son suddenly blurted out, "Hannah was born to waste money." My girl looked annoyed but did not rebut him. Later the same night the women in the house were talking more loudly than usual. I asked my son, " Elliot, women make a lot of noise right?" He gave a resounding "Yes!" Straight away my wife asked him to repent of his statement otherwise certain privileges would be withdrawn. He had a little of bit that male chauvinist look and kept quiet. So I told him, " Elliot just say I'm sorry then be nice to mummy and everything will be OK again." So he did and the house was peaceful. I gave my son another advice, "Next time you have a girlfriend, you may have to do this again. Remember that." My wife and I had a laugh. I hope my wife had taught Hannah that if she could find a husband who could earn more than she could spend, she would be OK too. This post is published with the approval of my wife.
