On 6 Dec 13, I was invited to give a medical talk on "living with an incurable disease" at my church adult fellowship. So I prepared a message on dying from a medical perspective. I have on a few occasions shared my experience on attending to dying patients and it has always been a powerful sharing. I have attached my message below. It is in Chinese / Mandarin. I will be using the same research materials and expand it into my next article on facing death. I admit I find learning Chinese challenging even after 12 years of studying my mother tongue. I call it the Babel effect. In Genesis 11 God split the human race into different races by creating new languages so people could not understand each other. So I figured most people could only master one language unless specially talented. But this is a story for another day.
