The Physical Death of Jesus
In 1986 a review article on the physical death of Jesus was published in the Journal of American Medical Association JAMA. I consider it a landmark article proving that Jesus died physically. Many articles on Jesus’s physical sufferings during his last 12 hours were likely to have been based on this review paper.
The article refers to the 4 gospels, ancient writings of that period and the Shroud of Turin. I do not believe the shroud of Tourin covered Jesus but the person it covered bears similarities to Jesus type of death.
Medical topics covered in the article are
1. Hematidrosis of Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane
2. Scourging
3. Crucifiction practices of the Romans.
4. Physical suffering on the cross
5..Physical death of Jesus
